I certainly looked at DNN Store sometime ago and was not particularly excited about the module overall by comparison the NB_Store.
I get quite nervous using DNN Corp modules because they tend to have very long maintenance release times which can result is showstopper issues not being fixed over many months. I would also note that many of the DNN created modules appear to stagnate and many have not been maintained in over 12 months.
I would suggest that NB_Store has a more interactive community that would be a very strong benefit to users of the module and that there is always a willingness to help resolve and teach how to do things in NB_Store.
I agree that NB_Store is probably the best of the bunch (both Open Source and Commercial) and it continues to be developed both in functionality and compatibility with new releases of DNN.
Best of all the author/s of NB_Store have experience in this space with a international user base, so most requirements are met out-of-the-box with NB_Store.
Generally, NB_Store documentation does cover a high percentage of what you need to know to operate and extend functionality, but will take an reasonable amount of study and hands on to master.
The only weak point in the current version of NB_Store (in my view) is the category menu module, while it works, it probably take a heap of work to style.
I have been running NB_Store for years and must admit that we have no issues in production - it is always available for sales (24 x 7) and in our case does it's job well.
