I should point out which may not have been picked up....
Dave made a change to the data recorded for order lines several versions ago which records both the sales amount (sale price) and Cost Price. This is the key reason that we want to maintain the system integrity in the above workaround. At the end of each period we can produce a cost of goods\margin report based on correct costs recorded for each product sold.
By recording the cost price within the order lines we can be assured that we are getting the cost at the time of sale.
Regardless if you just use NB_Store or use another system for financials this becomes a good why of checking system integrity. And best of all makes tax time reporting so much easier!
