It's simply because creating an install of each source set for each release takes time and needs checking to ensure it's OK, where as committing it to SVN on codeplex only takes a couple of mins and ensures we only have 1 version of the source floating around. You can get specific release source versions by clicking on the history link.
P.S. "Big Daddy" is a popular 1970's UK Saturday ring wrestler made popular by his friendly manner towards young children and the fact he was never allowed to lose. Using his large belly to pulp the "nasty" opposition (including his arch enemy "Giant Haystacks") into submission.
I bet you get a lot of Spam problems with that name :-)
