In the order email, isn't there a link to the product detail page? (On the order detail list)...this would then allow then to download the file from there, obviously for security the person would need to login to get the download link, which should be on the product template.
I think the file link token for the email is [Detail:FileLink] or maybe [Detail:ProductURL]
and the product detail one is [TAG:DOCPURCHASED1] and [TAG:DOCPURCHASEDLINK1], which I think are already in the default template??
