New Post: Product pricing

First - Thanks for a great job!

I'm a new user of NB but I do have some experience with other cart software. I wrote the version I am currently using (classic ASP) back in 2001 or so - I am do for an update for sure!

I am setting up a test site right now and one thing I see that I could really use is some more flexibility in pricing.

The items we sell have a suggested retail price (MSRP), our actual cost and then the price we sell it for online. I think it is always good to show the MSRP and the sell price to the customer to point out the great deal we are giving them!

In addition we also have some wholesale/dealer customers, however in my business we have more than 1 dealer price level depending on annual volume and other factors. And the price margins from our manufactures varies item to item.

Some are at a discount from MSRP, some are at a markup from cost. Our MSRP, online price and actual cost is stored with the product. The other price levels are calculated from a price markup/discount table.

Anyone want to tackle this?
