I just checked this, I think you may have confused SEOName with SEOPageTitle.

SEOName is shown when adding or editing a product, but SEOPageTitle doews not appear to be used in any edit forms. Looking at my prod site I see that SEOPageTitle is always NULL in the ProductLang table.
