Auto translations usually work better for some language than others.
Once I tried to translate a salesflyer for some customers in Sweden by using Google translate.
My native language is Danish, but it appears that Google do a better job when going from English to whatever language needed, so I did that and one of those Swedish guys told me later, that the translation made the whole thing appear amateurish and made it look more like a case of fraud, so he advised to just leave it in Danish, as that would appear more trustworthy and even those who'd have difficulties reading it, would normally be able to get the meaning anyway.
Personally im fed up with play.google.com translating app descriptions etc. to Danish for me, because theyre only like 60-70% correct, the rest just appear as a mess and makes it pretty hard to figure out what it was meant to say.
Auto translations imo, are fine for single words or very short and simple sentences, but using it to translate things like a prod desc doesn't really work that good.
