I don't think that the upgrade changed the URL rewriter to "advanced" but I did test both options,
The responsive skin stuff does not excite me in relation to existing sites, perhaps if we where designing a new site then my view would be different.

However, as with many recent DNN features, I wish WE had control to either grab the feature with both hands or simply disable. While I fully support progress, compatibility in my opinion rated higher and I do find that many recent features in DNN makes the assumption that the feature is forced upon us and everyone wants it. this is not applicable to all installations and comes across as arrogant. We should not have to re-work our installations as a result of an upgrade before it can be used! / END RANT /
Basically, we can't upgrade to DNN 7.2.0 in production because of compatibility issues in this release.
