•Extra - just an extra field to use as you like., to display on the product view.
•Weight (in which unit?) - any unit, the unit isn't fixed, but is unit used in the shipping calculation ranges, which maybe be a different unit per store/country.
•Sell - I think this is the price for normal (non-dealer) customers - yes
•Dealer - and this is propably the price for dealers - yes
•Cost - but what's that? Is it the price the shop owner has to pay? - yes
•Stock - numer of items in stock? - yes
•Max - I know that in programs for stock administration there is always a value for minimum items in stock, but what is "Max" here (and by the way, is there this minimum value somewhere as well? - OK, it's a store, not a warehousing software :-)) - This is a maximum possible stock field, and is used to calculate the percentage left in stock, so for promotions a percentage can be displayed to the client. It's a rare usage that was sponsored.
