v2.4 is not going to be released as stable, Although we have a couple of installations running, the best approach is to skip v2.4 and jump straight to v2.6. There is a migration SPROC to move data, but the upgrade will require a rebuild of any sites, to use the new modules, so it's not for everyone!
I hope to release v2.6 as a beta before the end of the month.
