This is a bit OT, hope its ok. :-)
I know what u mean Obenito, i too sell computer hardware and here in Denmark the surplus on those things are close to nothing, i actually dont sell any hardware that cost less than 100 EUR because only 5-10% of that is my surplus and if i shd sell it thru webshop and use PayPal, id basically have nothing left for my self.
So far i only sell hardware along with installations or repairs, becuase then i earn my money for the know-how and i can sell the hardware at a competitive price (basically straight thru).
If i sell an ISR unit which cost 80 EUR, id have a surplus of 10 EUR at best and then i have to do support on the product too.....basically its a dead end for me financially.
Also the cheap network equipment tends to fail and that makes it even less attractive to sell, so i usually tell those ppl who are all focused on getting it cheap, to go to the stores like here we have something called Elgiganten which is more less like MediaMarkt aso.
Thats why i ended up selling hardware as a service only, so that if a customer needs an upgrade on his network or wants to establish a new one, i deliver the hardware as well to save him the trouble and also, then i get to decide what to use in order to make sure they dont go out and get some cheap no good stuff. :-P
Hope it works out for u Obenito. :-)
Cheers
