For anyone who is interested, I needed this functionality....and I DID IT with this current release of NB_Store as of the date of my posting.
It's a bit round-about....but works great.
NOTE: I am using DNN 06.02.06 (10) (Wording, menu names etc.. may be different in other versions)
(I have worded this as per MY requirements)
ISSUES:
1) You CANNOT add or modify a product that is "FEATURED" as this will show up in ALL product modules where you have selected to display featured products
2) I do NOT have ANY search boxes for a user to search products, I have read that your "exclusive" product will appear in the search for ANY user
3) This method makes X Product details appear when you select a product to view where "X" is the number of product modules you have added to the products page....grrr...I'll look into this for a feasible solution.
If issues 1 and 2 are not a problem for you then by all means read on
Do the following:
1) Create new security role under the Admin menu and name the role after the client's company name
2) Add and apply the role to the client's login account
3) Go to STORE BACK OFFICE select catalog from the top menu then Categories from sub menu
4) Add category Products
5) Add category [name of role from step one] <--- not important but will help me in the future when I have a crap ton of these
IMPORTANT: set this as a SPECIAL HIDDEN category in the EXTRA tab....this keeps it from showing up in the Category Module
6) Select each category that you want EVERYONE to see and set their Parent to the Products category from step 4
7) Add 1 or more NEW categories and set the parent as the category from step 5
9) Save, update and exit the back office
10) Go to your products page and open the settings of your category module and go to the "nb_store_categorymenu settings" tab
11) change default category to Products (step 4 category)
12) change static category to true (checked) and scroll down and click update
13) hover over the manage button for your CURRENT Products module and click options NOT settings
14) change default category to Products (step 4 category) and update
15) Add a NEW products module (to same panel as the old one and I set it above the old products module)
16) hover over the manage button and click the settings menu item
17) in the "Permissions" tab make sure the check box at the bottom is unchecked
18) click the "view module" box next to [Name of role from step 1] until you see a green check
19) make sure ALL OTHER "view module" boxes are empty (except for the admins)
20) switch to the "nb_store_productlist settings" tab
21) change default category to company category (step 5 category)
22) change exclude featured to true (checked) and update
This should be it. After you follow this list to make another, skip steps 4, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14
