New Post: Display of categories and subcategories

Hi all,

I'm read the discussion about how to display the categories with catimage on the first page:

Is it possible to do this on the same way with the subcategories?

First Display: categories with Images (which token for the link to subcategory?)
when you choose the category, it will display if available the subcategories of the choosen categorie, else it would be blank.

Any ideas?
