It might be worth while you having a read to see how to go about importing products.

The doc 'ImportComplexProductsDocs.zip' which I wrote, I haven't used it in a long while.

Thes docs are called:

ImportComplexProductsDocs.zip and ImportCSV_ExampleFiles.zip

There are alos other posts in the disccuions about importing as well.
