You could also read into 'Responsive' skins, then there is no need for a second (copy) site.
There are 2 skins on codeplex Tidy and Spark which should get you going.
There is also BoilerPlate from twitter which is a good responsive template system.
The responsive way reads the screen size of the device being used to view the site then changes the look to that device.
There are a couple of draw backs with this method though, just as a seperate mobile site, you have to weigh off what is best in you situation.
