Just to update my situation on this. I've now moved to using "Apollo Pagelocalization" http://pagelocalization.codeplex.com/
DSLocalizator has seemed to hit a non-dev situation and without access to regular updated source I'm reluctant to continue with it. I do have an advantage that we've now moved to a single in-house localizable module solution for all new websites, so PL works well for us and does 99.5% of the things we're missing.
I do have ideas to release our in-house module, but time and work pressure means I haven;t made any specific plans.
Dave.
