The templates and the store detect the dealer price and make use of it. You could try it, but just be on the lookout for problems.

Hi Andre, It should be possible. Look for the deal price tag and place it outside the tag:test then the system should display it. Do this for the product list as well as the productdetails template....

I figured out that if I go into each product in BO and save it - then the dealer price is copied over at this point. It would be handy to have it display only when I manually enter the rrp :-S
