hmm, yes it would be nice if the wishlist items were visible on the same page, but it's not going to work, because any productlist module on the page is going to show wishlist items when the iwshlist feature is triggered.
Perhaps you could do something tricky with an iframe.
i.e. - the wishlist is displayed when the page URL contains /wishlist/
So, if you put a list module on a hidden page, then point an iframe with wishlist in the URL to that page, then you should be able to have that frame visible on the same page as your normal product list. You'd need to create an otherwise blank skin for the wishlist page, and the iframe module needs to handle auto length unless you it to have scrollbars. The core iframe module should work fine for this.
