The emails are created from multiple templates. Something must be faulty in one of them. I'd guess it is a missing bracket or missing closing tag somewhere.

Use all of the above information to backup all, and then restore some of the default templates to your store.
You should probably restore all of the ones in Templates > Notifications.
And be sure to reapply the store information in the merchantbank templates again afterwards.
